Powder Coating Application Equipment @Xintu

What are powder coatings?

Powder coatings are 100% solvent-free coatings in solid, dry powder form. Unlike liquid paints, they contain no water or solvents and release zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).

Key characteristics of powder coatings:

Solvent-free, water-free, sustainable and eco-friendly
Lowest carbon footprint in the paint industry
High material utilization rate of >90% (overspray can be recycled)
High durability, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength
Applied electrostatically and cured by heat (melting & chemical crosslinking)
One-layer coating capable of achieving high film thicknesses
Available in a wide range of resin chemistries (epoxy, polyester, hybrid, polyurethane, etc.)
More cost-efficient than liquid coatings over the long term
Mainly applied on heat-stable metal substrates, but also on wood, MDF, and plastics with low-temperature curing systems

✅ Why this matters for your production line:

The efficiency of powder coating application—especially overspray recovery and consistent film thickness—depends directly on your spray booth, powder recovery system, and curing oven. Xintu designs and manufactures all these core components.

What are powder coatings made of?

Powder coatings consist of finely ground, solid, dry components:

ComponentFunction
Resin (binder)Forms the continuous film; determines mechanical and chemical properties (epoxy, polyester, etc.)
PigmentsProvide color and hiding power
Fillers (extenders)Improve mechanical properties, reduce cost, control gloss
AdditivesControl flow, leveling, degassing, texture, UV resistance, etc.
Curing agents (crosslinkers)React with resin during oven curing to form a durable thermoset film

🔧 Xintu’s role:
Xintu does not manufacture the powder itself. We provide the application equipment that applies these coatings onto your products. You purchase powder from coating suppliers (e.g., AkzoNobel, PPG, Sherwin-Williams); Xintu ensures it is applied efficiently, uniformly, and with minimal waste.

How are powder coatings applied?

Xintu focuses entirely on the application side—taking the finished powder and applying it to your metal parts with high efficiency and consistency.

🏭 For industrial finishers:
You need a reliable system to apply it. That is exactly what Xintu provides.

Which materials can be powder-coated?

Substrates that can be powder-coated

Substrate TypeTypical ApplicationsRequires Low‑Temperature Cure?
Metals (most common)Steel, aluminum, galvanized, stainless steel – auto parts, furniture, fences, appliances, facade panelsNo (standard 180–220°C)
Glass & ceramicsDecorative panels, bottles, sanitary wareYes (special low-temp powder)
Wood, MDF, plasticsFurniture, electronics housings, automotive interiorsYes (cure below 130°C)

🌡️ Xintu’s advantage:

We manufacture standard curing ovens (for metal) and low-temperature curing ovens (for heat-sensitive substrates). Our ovens feature uniform air-circulation tunnels to minimize energy consumption while ensuring precise cure.

Typical application examples (industries we serve)

Metal furniture & shelving – Office cabinets, racks, lockers
Appliances – Refrigerator panels, washing machine drums, microwave cavities
Facade & architectural elements – Aluminum window frames, curtain walls, railings
Agricultural & construction machinery – Tractor parts, scaffoldings, guardrails
Automotive parts – Wheels, chassis components, under‑hood brackets
Bicycle frames – Both metal and carbon frames with low‑temp powder
General metal fabrication – Enclosures, control boxes, stamped parts
